Here is HIGH COURT lawyer that my brother approached after loosing the divorce case in lower court (taken up by V V KISHAN) and he has sent the documents as-is to the high court.The papers came back as the court would not accept unless we have new grounds for the case, as we have lost the case in lower court on the old grounds.All this happened in pre “SaveIndianFamily/society” days, when we were not aware of the law and the double games played by the lawyers.We immediately fired this lawyer.Had we been with the same lawyer, we would have been in a bigger soup and have lost all merits of fighting our divorce case in High Court.

While he was a state public presecutor, he used to:
1) Advise women to file false 498-A charges againts NRIs.
Demand 50 lacs for dropping all charges, openly admitting he gets 10% commission.
2) Had a team of private-practice lawyers draft out the false complaints to file FIRs.
3) Mis-use state’s machinery (Police inspectors) under his control to harrass husband’s family.
4) Would ask Police to forcibly take husbands’ family to his private office
5) Threaten the crap out of the husbands’ family by saying he could unleash Interpol by contacting the foreign embassy.
6) Harrass family by pretending to have conclusive evidence, video tapes, audio CDs, emails, faxes, witnesses, etc.

This is the worst lawyer in town. We didnt know that…His collegues and Clients also have the same opinion.
To Start with.. He brings all the Celebrity names (Pawan Kalyan, Telugu Movie Star) and keeps telling that he is appointed for their divorce cases.
As a matter of fact he cannot even step in AP High court.I think there should be some eligibility to practice in High Court.
He took our case (498a)…
1)He kept on insisting that he cannot file AB till the other party files the FIR.
2)Now after 3 days or so..the other party files FIR, this lawyer Sudheer was clueless what to do..He told me that I should “pray” God that my parents get AB
3)Some how he filed for AB..Now the other party was acting so adamant that they want my parents in jail atleast for 1 day.
4)This bastard Lawyer I guess after taking huge amount from the other party,tells us that he wants to speak to my parents before the day of AB hearing. Luckily we were very very careful about my parents where abouts and so we got saved or this guy set a trap for them to get arrested.
5)Now after getting the AB about 2:30 afternoon IST, he gives me a call which was 4AM USA time, and tells me that AB is approved, but only for one person… if you want for both you have to pay extra 15 to 20000 and he could manage. This is such a crock of Shit.What to say…I said OK and later on realised that he was absolutely lying and cheating
6)Ok after AB approval from court,there is a process that one has to go through with Police station, deal with surity, pay bail amount etc etc… Its almost 9 days and still this guy didnt do anything.
7)Finally when pressurised,things move a little bit and this bastard lawyer comes to Police Station to finish up the pending AB paper work,….only then we realise that the other party put another complaint that my parents passports should be seized and only then my parents would get the paper work done….
8)This lawyer waited and waited just so that the other party could get their complaint (seize my parents passports) lodged and entertained. What a great system we live in….
9)Disbar this bastard.. and rip his accolades if he got any..

The other way is to talk to court clerks and other staff. They often talk to judges and know what’s going on in courtrooms. D. Madhava Rao holds the record for filing maximum number of interim petitions to delay a simple custody case in Hyd Family court and resorts to malpractices by corruption. Your approach to assess a lawyer is good, but one has to keep in mind that a smart/cunning lawyer could have a lot of agents in the court(including clerks), so asking around about a lawyer in the court could backfire(And u may end up with the best marketing/corrupt but agent-friendly lawyer!)
The best way is to do it yourselves, hear the lawyers arguing their cases, that way you have a better grip(of course you should know a bit of law to know whether they are speaking sense or otherwise!)

I had filed a 498A against my inlaws and husband. My husbands lawyer ie Uma Wagle from Mumbai send 3 unknown people along with my husband to my house who stated that they were the bailiff of the high court. They tried to force themselves into my house and threw a paper on my moms face and threatened her to take the paper or else she will have to bear the consequences. My mother being a High BP Patient panicked and gaave the paper back saying that my daugther is not home but they insisted on her taking the paper and kept throwing it back on her face. This is taking undue advantage of being a lawyer. I have filed a NC but nothing has happened as yet.

I had a medical malpractice case in the courts for 14 years (not a mistype) For a long time I had to pro se represent. The doctor defendant changed his testimony on the stand and unprepared for the new lie I rested and was, of course, nonsuited. I went to Michael Fishbein, Phila, Pa. to take the appeal. He briefed it, the Superior Court of Pa. called the defendant’s testimony perjurious* and granted a new trial. Michael nor his associate, Robert Unterberger did no interrogatories, depositions, or witness prep. They also had a pediatric expert, not adult as needed. Michael Fishbein and his associate literally forced me to settle the case against my will. Within 3 weeks the defendants name was brought forth by Governor Ridge as his nominee for Secretary of Health. We had proof of negligence and malpractice as well as perjury yet it did not matter. They were either too lazy or potentially involved with needing to clear the path for Dr. Jannetta’s nomination. Mr. Fishbein told me, when I said he was not acting as my advocate that “after 20 years you lose your zest for it.”* This was 2 months before trial, too late to get other counsel. It turned out the ‘zest’ was not totally lost as he was the prime attorney for the class action diet drug Phen-fen case at the same time he had mine. The amount of money I received was minimal ($140,000) for permanent facial disfigurement and lifelong medical consequences of that as well as the doctor, based on subsequent records, removing any chance for me to be relieved of the disabling facial pain problem (trigeminal neuralgia) for which I had seen him, and for whom the operation is named.

I too suffer from wife and in-laws threatening, who are living presently at Howrah, in a different manner on a regular basis, in order to swindle our hard-earned income and property, by misusing newly formulated laws specially designed only for women. The law makers fully forgetting the constitutions article 14 which says all men and woman are equal before law or say equality before law. This article 14 giving equal strength to man and woman but formulating new law for women so for no law formulated by the law makers for men. Why?
Which only resulted in iron hand cuffing like a herded criminal and lying in illegal custody. I had been caught by the police on March 2006, and kept for nine days in police lockup and one day in Correctional Home, Howrah and released on bail. She filed false FIRs and filed under section 125 Cr. P.C., 498A, 406 IPC, 34, 354, 379, 506, 323, 341, 504 and section 3 & 4 of Dowry Probation Act etc. against me, my patents, brother and sister from the Court of 7th and 4th Judicial Magistrate at Howrah. Now, no one here to help me from this day to day harassment, lost couple of good jobs, running once in two months from Pudhucherry (formerly Pondicherry) to Howrah.
The wife and her parents even not intimated him the child birth and somehow when he come to know the child birth he requested to send a snap of the child which was also not heard. For the new born the father send some gift which was also returned by the wife and her parents. Their cruelty reached at Himalayan peak when she lodged a complaint using the weapon of dowry and domestic violence act (DVA) and several other criminal section against husband and in-laws, the in-laws who never interfered her life. The question is if she really met cruelty by the hands of husband and his relatives why she had not opted to file a complaint in the jurisdiction police station which was only in walkable distance. She opted to file complaint in the Howrah police station and filed a divorce and succeeded to get an expartee decree within three months of filing which is very impossible as per marriage law. The husband had not given time to file counter or for a counseling. When husband was attending for maintenance case and came out of the court he was arrested and handcuffed and remained in the custody for eight days and ninth day presented before the judicial magistrate and then kept one day in judicial custody and latter bailed out. The wife atlest shown curtsy by not opposing the anticipatory bail of in-laws.
The women how she forget the sweetness of togetherness, how she forget the sweet face of her husband which is now also in front of her in the form of child.
THE MEN WAS CRUSHED IN THE HANDS OF WOMEN. The men who is a M.Sc., M.Phil., earning sufficiently was now staring the sky with no hope for justice. His parents are weeping and sister, brother still in a stage of shock.
The reward paid by the wife to her husband is the only result of misusing of newly formulated laws. The court at Howrah which have no jurisdiction neither to try the suit for divorce nor for the criminal offence as the couple married at Pudhucherry and last resided place at Bangalore, where both of them were employed and as such alleged offence held in Bangalore. So the decree which is passed by the Howrah Court is improper and the complaint also liable to be quashed. But these all will happen in future.
Wake and do something for men otherwise similar trouble tomorrow you also have to face. For this not only togetherness of men required but the togetherness of women also required.

Beware of this lawyer Vandana Vaidya. She handles intellectual property cases, but since she is useless and corrupt, she started handling family dispute cases to support herself. Her dirty tricks continue here too.
She will take all documents and money from you, and then suddenly disappear for many months. When you call her, she will not recognize you, and change her phone number. When you press she will threaten you, the client herself, and take you on a ride.

I´m married to a lawyer from past 13 years. Time to time he mentally torture me with terrible acusations that I have several boyfriends.etc I left my beuatiful country, education, future, dreams, to marry him and this is what I get to listen. to start from the beginning ,when our second son was 15 days old, he along with his mother, put me the baby and my elder child, of only 1 year + outside the house.that was the first time he horrified me. I went back to our little other house, Lodhi Colony, top floor, and he stayed with his parents at a good house in posh colony of Gaziabad. He that time use to work with Anu Pesharia, Ms. Kiran Bedi sister…she can testify ( if she is honest )now living in USA , because she knew what he was doing with me,she even came to my little house to see me by that time, another place I being shifted by my husband, for when the landlord saw that I was alone with 2 babies, he called my husband and told him to put us out from his place. For that my husband shown his face and shift me and our babies to somewhere close to Malvia Nagar. Now she stays in USA with her husband… Who cares to help someone, they only border to cover each other. My husband abandoned me and the babies for 5 months, my mother´s sister use to send me money as sometimes only he used to drop some money there,she use to send some money as gift for me, ( I lost my family in a car crash when I was 9 years old, so she and other aunty took care of me, she was posted at the embassy here in India… I was scare and could not even tell my relatives in my country, nor I went to the police station, my English was very poor …. he continue to harass me time to time. I trusted so much on him and signed all papers, before we went to a temple for the marriage, as I believe in respect the culture, I found no problem in marrying in a temple, but never he made me to know, that he was converting me, I came to know this only about 5 years back. I later prepared an affidavit in 2004, saying that I was always a Christian and I have being falsely converted. I got a Christian lawyer who were willing to prepare the affidavit, today´s day I don´t have his contact.
God knows what were his intentions in future by converting me without my consent, I still feel quiet shaking… I have told him to do corrections in court, he kept saying he will, but I realise, now, I being made a fool again. He stopped hitting me fisically, since I told him more than a year ago, that I shall put here in jail. .. but the other tortures haven´t stop, so I will have to reveal to the Indian government, I tried my best not to do so, taken into consideration his profession as a lawyer, but knowbody can do anything, I spoken to the police, which gave me supporte, but have not advice me to open a FIR, I spoken to my father in law ( age aroung 78 ) he spoken several times to his son, but my husband could not respect even his own old father. I called 20 days back the police over the phone, when he was harassing me middle night, so when he saw me talking to the police over my cellphone, suddenly he became a gentle man with me, but after I put down the phone, he woke me up from the bed and told me to leave the bed and sleep somewhere else. My kids are testemony along with others, that I believe will not get scare of my husband.
I m scare, I have God but here in the world, I am alone with 2 kids, more over living in a foreigner land, when I don´t know if I can consider my own land. I have 2 kids… My trust is in God alone. ..
I pray that the solution shall be found and also I pray that all people over here shall able to solve their problems.

This lawyer has absolutely no knowledge of law, however she approaches affluent women in the Court premises with promises of getting her justice after going through her divorce petition. She then suggests short cut through 498A and DVA and offers free consultancy and even agrees to work on commission.
The lawyer has good setting with a section of male Judges and is an expert in getting ex parte orders.

Mine is a love marriage. I got married in 11th feb’1987. She is a BDS by qualification and that time i was only DME, worked for a very good TVS company known for its auto electricals. I ave taken a money back policy in her name for Rs.100000 by preponing one year.Inthe mean time her younger brother had gone to the US.In 1990, I got my first daughter.
In 1991 Jan, I have shifted my job to a useless company making Heavy Vehicles in ennore, who is not practising any good systems left by the Europeans and most of executives spend 90% of time there. I have got my 2nd daughter in 1992.
In the mean time i got money from my father by selling my ancestral property to get a Plot. I have bought the plot by paying Rs.92,000/- to one Mr.Padmanabhan, Manager of SBI as instructed by my estranged wife. I have paid a cheque for Rs.47,000 in her father’s name to pay thecash to the Padmanabhan. My estranged wife has forced me to buy the plot in her name and i have also bought it to avoid her torture in day today life and she convinced me that it is easier for her to get a VISA to go to US for higher studies, if it is in her Name. I have paid Rs.50,000/- from my chit amount to aquire a place for her clinic.
I have taken Housing loans from HDFC & LICHF by inflating her income to Rs.7,500/- per month although she is not earning even Rs.1200/ per month.
In 1995 Dec. she ran away with all documents of the house, My&her belongings and with my children.
As the above lady tried to sell the property instead of registering in my children’s name, by giving ads thro another broker advocate, we have filed the cases.
Two Cases, A suit for the property & Restitution of Conjugal Rights has been handed over to one R.S.Ramanathan and his wife UMA Ramanathan. We filed the house suit for only 50% of partition of property as advised by the above Ramanathan. A seperate case for Guardians right to get the children was also filed in High Court. The lawer has forced us to pay Rs.15,000/- the next day informing us that he has to pay the amount to High Court. and he he has taken another Rs.8,500/-afterwards.
But to our surprise, the above two advocates
1. have not filed the suit in the High Court.
2. have Paid any amount back.
3. have not even paid the Bata for the childrens custody case in High court.
4. have asked for adjournment even when there is no representation from the opposite side and failed to give petition to the Judge as he has promised in the court.Hence the Judge dismissed the case.
5. Due to the above the opposite party has sold the property within a month.
6. Never tried to even file a petition for even visiting rights & whenever asked the judge of family court even never allowing me to see the children.
7. Now my estranged wife is roaming around all and sundries and especially with a muslim boy who is a relative of a petrol bunk owner.
8. Now she is not practicing and leading a wayward life with all & sundries. My children had been not send to school from 20th Dec’2000 to April’2002, becuse she was hiding during that period. She had given a false certificate to the court after 6months that the Children has been studying in St.Patricks Convent, Gandhinagar, Adyar,Chennai. When I have checked up with the School the principal has informed myself & My friend Dr.M.S.Rajan that the lady has cheated by taking a certificate.
9. She had been arrested twice on IPC 406&420 and has been in Saidapet Sub-jail for more than 30 days as she had cheated many people by borrowing money. The children were left with strangers that time. I fear that my children may also be introduced to Prostitution.
10. Now she had given a certificate that the children are studying in KUMARA RANI MEENA MUTHIAH MATRICULATION SCHOOL, Adyar.
10. I have informed the Learned Family Court Judge about everything but in vain.
11. My latest advocate was a scecretary in Women Lawers association who is also supporting the opposite indirectly.
12. Her Husband is also not acting in the suit and indirectly supporting the Opposite.
13. My latest lawers also has taken a sum of Rs.15,000/ as fees.
14. Lawers are the only community who doesnot accept the fees thro cheque and never give a receipt.
Kindly Advise me the further course of action that i have to take.

Frankly you have gone through a long ordeal and you feel sullen, bruised and hurt.
Natural that is but at this point you wont be able to do much in the most corrupt justice system of the world that is India. India justice system is the worst of the worst one can ever think of – even worse than Russia, African countries and Latin America.
The circumstances you mention you should let her go with whatever she took and start a new life.
It is never late.
You will never ever be able to get anything out of this whole dispute. She is gone and you should not force.
Protect what you have and start a new life possibly in a new environment.
That is the best you can do.
You may report to the police but they will also extort funds out of you.

Rishi Ruia, lawyer from Bangalore, also a 498A helpline advisor. Beware of him. He will give you high hopes when you first talk to him and will sound highly genuine. He is an ace in sweet talking to clients. He will take money and promise to deliver within the specific period, but when you follow-up with him he will take you on a merry ground chase. After he has received the monies, he will not deliver, will avoid your calls and when you call at home, his wife will tell you that he is travelling. Even if you get him on chat he will just scoot for his life. Any amount of emails from you will not make him reply. From my personal experience he is a very dishonest lawyer who lacks professional ethics and who is inhuman to the core. Till date he has taken 50k and not delivered and unable to get thru to him for the past 2months. Lawyers are supposed to be like doctors cos we pay them in advance for their services and expect them to deliver their promises. Beware, he joins hands with the opponent lawyer and lets the cat out of the bag, which you will know at a very later date. He will always say that you will have to go behind bars and then he will fight to get you out. He will also have the audacity to even say that he can arrange 5star treatment in the prison. You call him a lawyer who says that the only way to solve the case is to go behind bars and later on fight the case. Rishi was in partnership with another helpline lawyer and they fell out recently. 498A victims please be aware of Rishi Ruia, a devil in the disguise of an angel. I am still fighting my case.
