Pooja Chauhan case: NHRC notice over delay in police action

National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has served a notice to city police commissioner for the alleged delay in police action on a dowry harassment complaint by Pooja Chauhan who had semi nude on the streets to highlight her grievance. Police Commissioner K Nityanandam has been asked by NHRC to submit his reply within seven days, police said today.
Chauhan alleged police was delaying action against her husband and mother-in-law and she walked to the Police Commissioner’s office on Tuesday in her undergarments demanding action on her complaint.
She alleged the two had repeatedly harassed her for dowry.
However, according to Gandhigram police inspector Sardarsinh Zala, the two had been arrested even before Chauhan’s protest walk.
Chauhan had attempted suicide on June 29 by torching herself in the premises of local crime branch of the police but was saved, Zala said, adding police did not waste time and arrested the mother-son duo a couple of days after the suicide attempt.
He said Chauhan’s mental condition was unstable and she might be sent for medical examination.

Where is the NHRC when 10s of 1000s of husbands are falsely arrested and jailed ??
- Why is one woman’s nudity evoking such reactions from everyone ?
- what does the NHRC mean by the delay in POLICE action ? ISN’T it enough
that the husband and his relatives INCLUDING his SISTER were arrested ???
what more do you want to do to them ?

these organisations, NHRC/NCW/Police/Politicians support young girls.
coz they have pretty balls, which are usefull to them and these women organisation get comission for every girl they support

NHRC, should issue the notice to polce, why they have not arrested Pooja in attempet to sucide case and obsecenatiy case .. can they do ?

This women paraded on the roads stating harrasment from husband family.
As long as meaningless onesided laws like 498a, DV act continues, police auto arrests husbands or their parents.
One who ever reads the DV act pdf TO THE CORE will know what damage this law will do to human being. From common sense it clearly shows law is written in “angry against men”
